happy new year's eve 12.31.2004 - 12:33 p.m. i don't think i ever mentioned that i joined a book club a couple of months ago. yes, i did.... i needed something to make me read. i'm not much of the "leisure" reader...so i figured that a book club would keep me reading a book a month, so that's pretty good... well its just a bunch of old ladies. they are just so cute. i love them. GOSH, get a couple mugs of hot cocoa in them, and you can't stop em!.....this last meeting (tues night) i hosted the meeting at my house....now i know that none of you know, but my house is not very big. its got a little couch, a recliner, and two little sitting chairs in the living room but not very much space is left...well i had like 13 show up! eek! you wouldn't believe that we fit in my living room, but we did...i had 4 little ladies sitting on the floor...My, they are limber! hehehe, jk. nah, they're not all ancient,but a couple are...we usually just sit around, laugh, and talk about everything but the book. good times, good times.... about 5 of us are teachers and we've got 2 nurses.... one of the ladies, debi, is a nurse, and she was talking about how sometimes she gets so ill with her patients she just wants to saw down a twelve-gauge needle to a flat point before she jabs it in the rump... in the meantime i'm thinking, "man! is she saying this outloud??" AND "hmmm, i wonder if she'd let me borrow that for my students!" hehehe we've found that teaching and nursing gives off the same stress effect....oh yes. so anyways, just a little sumtin, sumtin to keep me busy... ***** happy new years everyone...be safe and have fun...i have to say, every year i make the same ole resolution...."Eat Less, Lose Weight" and this is the first year i've kept it... and if you didn't bring in the new year, here i'll count it down for you and you just have a lil' silent celebration in your head... 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1.
