The South...You Gotta Love It! 09.28.2004 - 5:23 p.m. ya know its really funny how people in the south are scared stiff when it comes up a cloud.... i mean, imagine winter time...nice wonderful winter...its chilly outside, rather nippy, and suddenly ....YOU SEE A FLAKE! OH DEAR GOD SOMEBODY CALL THE SUPERINTENDENT!!!! BEFORE THOSE BUSES GET OUT AND SLIDE ALL OVER THAT ROAD!! so mrs. woman calls superintendent.. "Dr. SUPE, I have SEEN A FLAKE! Cancel school, ASAP!" so dr. supe cancels school.... well here it is...summertime...beautiful weather. being in SC we are on the coast of the US and there have been several hurricanes banging into the gulf and atlantic lately... well TODAY YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT THEY CALLED FOR! .......RAIN!!!!!..... OH DEAR ME!! Lord have mercy on us please!....so it rained last night....quite a storm...but then again, just a storm.... Mrs. Woman frightened in her slumber is rattled awake and quickly dials Dr. Supe... "DR SUPE, I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! ITS JUST SO MUCH RAIN! WITH ALL THESE HURRICANES AND ALL. I MEAN THE POOR CHILDREN...THEY MIGHT HAVE TO HAVE, OH I CAN'T SAY IT!" "WHAT?!?!" Dr. Supe inquires quite curiously. "They might have to have....they might have to have....INSIDE RECESS!" "OH MAN, THAT'S IT!" screams Dr. Supe quite furiously, "SCHOOL'S CANCELLED!!!" So school was cancelled today because we got hit by a "hurricane" last night...(or in other words, school is cancelled due to rainfall and ONE WHOLE TREE was fallen from the ferocity!) ****** someone needs to tell their poor little souls that we're about 300 miles inland....bless their little hearts... ****** but either way, i'm off school today...its 80 degrees and beautiful sunny blue skies... lovely! � |
