sc sweet peaches meet sc old taters 07.01.2003 - 11:36 a.m. a friend of mine has talked me into getting a saltwater fish tank....i'm wary about it, but i'm seriously considering it because then i could purchase dory and nemo. anybody out there seen Finding Nemo yet?!?! what? its just Pixar?!?! watch your mouth! ***** i went to charleston this past weekend for a close college friend's bachelorette party. its funny how people change. first of all it was my friend jessi and i. kristin was the "bride to be". the three of us were in the same sorority, and we were best of friends through our entire college career. then 4 of her high school buddies came along that were, of course, going to be in the wedding. 2 of them i knew already because they attended clemson univ. with us. well we all arrive in town and went to dinner. 1 of the girls was not flying in until 10:30, so jessi, kristen and i went out to the bars while the others went to pick up jenny. jess and i were in a room together so we got all ready to go out in out cute little strappy tank tops, tight jeans, and high heels. jess was in a little mini skirt. we walk over to the other room and when we walk in, they are all decked out in their 3quarter length skirts and very unrevealing sleeveless tops. they've gotten so conservative!! i've always kinda considered myself a southern belle, but they were the max! i felt like i needed to go put a turtle neck and my winnie-the-pooh corderoy frock. well the night was interesting. the three of us went to this rooftop bar. by far, the best i've ever experienced. met some guys from cali. they were diggin my southern accent, so i was about to score us some free drinks, but the other two dragged me off as if i needed to be "saved". i let them know that they just ruined my devious plan of getting us free beverages, and of course they wanted to go back....oh well. then we went to trios, which was where the other girls wanted to meet us. the girl to guy ratio was about 10 to 1. kristen even said she wanted to go somewhere with somemore men. but the hot totties said that "trios was the only place to go, there is no where else". i then knew that this was not going to be as fun as i had plan. dancing in our little circle of girls was not for me. so jess and i started to venture out. 3 shots and 4 beers later (all free, mind you) i was dancing with the lead singer of the band. it was fun. we stumbled back to the hotel, ordered pizza and then i drove home at 7am to get home in time to do pictures at a wedding at 2pm. i made it safe and sound AND on time...luckily i didn't get a dui because i was definitely still drunk!! chat at cha lata! � |
