Retard Moment 01.12.2005 - 7:09 p.m. words are funny... ya know, i can remember back to high school....amazing, huh??....nah just kidding. i can remember back to high school when i took the SAT... i remember getting to this one short story in the Reading portion of the test called "Gorgeous George". well i was taking the test and i suppose "gorgeous" just isn't one of those words that you see often (you hear it, but not necessarily see it), but i was reading the word as "GORE-GEE-US" (a hard g in both the 1st and 2nd syllables). so i was like "Gore-gee-us George, gore-gee-us, what the hell is gore-gee-us??" dumbfounded for a moment and not able to determine the word's meaning from surrounding context clues, i just ignored it and kept on reading. well then it dawned on me, GORGEOUS!!!.AHHHHHHHHH!!!!....i kinda got the giggles because i thought it was "gore-gee-us", i felt SOOOOOO retarded! just shortly after was a break, and i walked out into the hall....i still had a little semi-permasmile on my face from getting tickled over gore-gee-us. i walked by this circle of kids and i heard this one dude say, "Did you guy's read that story about "Gore-gee-us George"?? faster than a speeding bullet i ran outside and burst out laughing, i could hold it no longer....then i thought, hey! i'm glad i wasn't the only retard... ***** i'm going West in the morn! WHOO-HOOO!...Utah to be exact....hopefully i won't be swept away by some freakish landslide, tsunami, volcanic eruption, or other highly destructive meteorological combination. � |
